“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”
― Desmond Tutu, South African Anglican cleric and theologian, anti-apartheid and human rights activist
Covid-19 sucks!
It’s brought out the worst in some people.
The rhetoric, politicking, and willful ignorance is loud, confrontational, and disheartening.
Despite all that, I’ve gained a renewed sense of gratitude for all that is good in my life during this pandemic. My source of hope is the abundant kindness, generosity, empathy, and courage demonstrated daily by so many.
The light is not always as newsworthy or as loud.
Sometimes it’s a spotlight. Sometimes it’s a tiny flame.
It’s there, waiting to be noticed.
Hang in there my friends!
